Ear irrigation is not the same as traditional syringing and is performed in line with current clinical standards.
Ear irrigation may be recommended when:
Wax is soft and suitable for irrigation
Microsuction is not the most appropriate option

Ear irrigation is not suitable for all patients. It may not be recommended if you have:
A history of ear surgery
A current ear infection
A perforated eardrum
Certain long-term ear conditions
Suitability is always confirmed during your assessment to ensure your safety
To improve treatment effectiveness, you may be advised to use olive oil or almond oil drops in the affected ear(s) prior to your appointment. This helps soften the wax and allows for easier, safer removal. Full guidance will be provided when booking.
